Steven is an entrepreneur, experienced real estate appraiser, and business strategist focused on helping appraisers build appraisal companies that are scalable and sellable. As Co-Owner and Managing Partner of Appraiser X Suite, he has helped modernize how appraisal businesses operate by streamlining office management, improving workflow efficiency, and increasing overall production capacity.

Over the course of his career, Steven has built and successfully exited multiple companies, including an appraisal firm and an appraisal management company. He has trained and mentored appraisers, developed systems that allow businesses to scale without added operational complexity, and worked directly with lenders, AMCs, and appraisal firms to improve turn times, communication, and consistency. What sets Steven apart is that he has done it himself—he understands firsthand what it takes to grow an appraisal business beyond a job and into a valuable, sellable asset.

Through his consulting work, Steven now helps appraisers increase production without burnout, build operational systems that run efficiently, strengthen client relationships, and position their businesses for a future sale or exit. His approach is practical, results-driven, and rooted in real-world experience—not theory. His mission is to help appraisers stop trading time for income and start building businesses that create long-term value.

Carlos is a real estate appraisal professional with hands-on experience in valuation operations, workflow management, and supporting high-performing appraisal teams. Through his work with Waterstone Valuation Group, Carlos has been directly involved in the day-to-day execution and coordination that drives efficient, consistent appraisal production.

With a strong understanding of appraisal processes—from order intake and client communication to managing timelines and supporting report delivery—Carlos brings a practical, operations-focused perspective to building scalable appraisal businesses. He has worked closely within fast-paced environments that require accuracy, responsiveness, and strong coordination between appraisers, clients, and internal teams.

As part of the consulting team, Carlos specializes in helping appraisers improve operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and create systems that support growth without increasing complexity. His experience allows him to identify bottlenecks, implement more efficient processes, and support the structure needed to increase production and consistency.

Carlos plays a key role in helping appraisal businesses transition from reactive, day-to-day operations into more organized, system-driven companies—laying the foundation for long-term scalability and future exit opportunities.

Larry Slavin

Larry is an experienced business advisor, certified exit planning strategist, and seasoned consultant specializing in helping business owners build, grow, and successfully transition their companies. With over 40 years of experience, Larry is an Accredited Small Business Consultant (ASBC®) and Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), bringing deep expertise in business strategy, operational improvement, and exit readiness.

Throughout his career, Larry has worked closely with business owners across a wide range of industries, guiding them through the process of strengthening their companies, increasing value, and preparing for successful exits. His approach focuses on aligning business operations, financial performance, and long-term goals to create companies that are not only profitable, but also transferable and attractive to buyers.

As part of the consulting team, Larry brings a unique perspective to appraisal business owners looking to move beyond day-to-day operations and build a company that can operate independently of them.
